The Marco Renoir coloured pencil sits at a happy medium between being a soft and hard leaded pencil making them appealing to both beginners and intermediate colour pencil artists. It has a round Cedar wood barrel encasing a 3.7mm Oil Based Core - soft enough to allow for buttery application with smooth layering ability and hard enough to be sharpened to an acceptable point without breakage for highly detailed areas. The colours are vibrant without having to put a lot of force on the pencil to lay down and the creamy consistency allows for a painterly like blending ability.
